Islamic Foods is a community supermarket run on a “shareholder community model”, in which ordinary people act at once as investors, as customers, and as partners in the business.
We believe a strong economy can be built out of collective effort and the strength of a community. One person’s business has a ceiling; the strength of a community is what turns a business into an institution.
We are an educated, capable, modern and trusted team, brought together to build a safe, transparent and customer-friendly community supermarket. Our members are well known in their community, responsible, and committed to commercial honesty and standards of service.

Once your information and documents are checked, your share serial numbers are reserved.
After board approval your member number and share certificate are issued.
Shareholders undertake to buy a set amount from our supershop or online store each month — this is what keeps the business trading and makes buying direct from farmers possible. Our store is not open yet, so this obligation only begins to accrue on 1 January 2027.
